This year, spring’s arrival has not been as much of a shock as years before. I have been working very hard to make plans and take the boys outside. As we visit parks, the zoo, and rocky beaches along the Sound, I have noticed the longer, sunnier days and felt the season changing.
While pushing myself to leave the house, I have to take into account that for me, even the simple acts of running around the backyard and working in the garden are both physically and emotionally exhausting. However, many times, I think it is a fair trade off to see the boys joyful faces as they explore their surroundings as we are all enveloped by sunlight and crisp breezes.
